They appear to be in a countryside location outside. The image is framed by a thick white border. On the back of the photograph is written "Verceniotiko Picnic, 1934" , "Alex Terovolas, John Terovolas, and Steve Gavras" and "1934".

John's relative George was owner of Palace Food Market. John was born in 1891 and died in 1972.
