Object Description
A newspaper page features an article typed in black ink and written in English that is collaged onto a manila page along with other clippings to create a book. At the top of the article, centered in the middle, is the article's title which reads as "Women Take Part in the Affairs of New Greece." Below the title is the additional text that reads, "So Says Maria Economidy, Who Has Come to America in Charge of a Greek Government Exhibit to Further Friendship and Understanding Between Her Country and Ours." The article, written by Bernice Stewart, is large, and consists of 30 paragraphs placed into four sections: "Woman Suffrage in Greece, Arsakeion College, No Servant Problems, and A Widening Sphere."  In the middle of the newspaper page is a black-and-white image of an individual posing outdoors in a Greek costume. Underneath the photographic image is text that reads "Marie Economidys. In a costume worn by a lady in attendance to Queen Amalia, in early ninetieth century." On the left-hand side at the bottom of the article are two blue circles or ovals, each encircling text.
