Origin
LOCATION: West Ridge, Chicago IL YEAR: 1992 PEOPLE IN PHOTO: Back row: Jeanne Cotsones Lum Bernstein, Maria Alexander Martucci , Maria Mavros Kochilas, , Georgia Cotsones Alexander and Frank White Seated: Beatrice Cotsones, Alexandra B. White, Michael Cotsones, Elyse Bernstein on her Papou John Cotsones' lap and Francis SK White. Our family loved to celebrate birthdays and holidays throughout the decades. Here we are as adults with grandchildren and children and one on the way who will be Anastasia Cotsones who is a mother herself in 2025. We are in our two flat on the Northside where my parents, Georgia and Angelo lived and where I live on the first floor with my family. It was the old fashion story of co-blending the generations in an apartment building which is how we lived on the Southside. My daughter Alexandra (Alex) can be seen grinning while checking out the lit birthday cake while my husband Frank is with his namesake Francis. You can't tell in the black and white photo but both of my children have bright red hair!
