Object Description
A typed letter on aged paper with text printed in black ink. On both the right and left hand corners are lists of medical schools: (L): The school of Medicine, The School of Nursing, The Technical Curricula, and The Post-Graduate Program. (R): The John Sealy Hospital, The Children's Hospital, The Hospital, and The Stewart Convalescent Home. In the center. Located in the top center is the text, "The University of Texas-Medical Branch Galveston." Underneith the letter head is the date, "October 6, 1949." The letter reads, "Mrs. Laura Goodenow, Galveston Tribune, Galveston, Texas. Dear Mrs. Goodenow: Enclosed is a letter from Mrs. Marie Economidy of Galveston who has returned for a visit to her native home in Athens, Greece. This contains a lot of interesting material which seems to me to ne worthy of publication. Why don't you give it a little headings, and then quote it verbatim? With best as ever, Faithfully yours, (Signed) Chauncey D. Leake, Vice-President." To the far left of the signature are the text, "CDL/mjs" and "cc: Mrs. Marie Economidy."
