Object Description
A Western Union telegram from Franklin D. Roosevelt. to the members of the Ladies Greek American Progressive  Association. At the top of the telegram is the name, "Western Union", with the names of upper management listed underneath, "R.B White, President," "Newcomb Carlton, Chairman of the Board," and J.C. Willever, First Vice-President." To the left of the document's name is the "Class of Service" and to the right is list of "Symbols." Underneath the Symbol box (upper right corner) is the telegram dated, reading, 1940 Nov 4 PM 7: 42, stamped in blue ink. The document reads, AA345=The White House Washington DC 4 814P Members, Ladies Greeks American Progressive Assn= 
I am grateful to you for your message. The people of the United States are as one on their opposition to policies of military conquest and domination=
Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The back of the telegram bears a handwritten message in pencil.
