Object Description
A small newspaper article attached to paper, the article is titled: "APPROVES GREECE'S ACTION IN EXECUTING MINISTERS" by Marie Economidy, dated Boerne, Tex., Dec. 3, 1922. The clipping reads, "Opposed as I am to capital punishment I take a certain satisfaction in the execution of the Greek ministers. They did all in their power to secure Constantine to the throne so they could hold office under him and they kept the truth from Greek people so they could continue holding such office, a policy that proved disastrous to Greece. And yet, how silly to see the American press weep over it, just because they were big wigs and not common people! The Asia Minor disaster, its thousands of massacred and the tragedy of the 1,500,00 refugees did not sink to the sympathy of the American press that the execution of the Greek ministers did. As to losing the friendship of "people who could help the Greeks," on account of this execution none of the European powers ever befriended Greece that it did not serve first its own interests by doing it."
