Object Description
A typed letter of recommendation dated written by Rev. Edmund Gibson, to the Economic Cooperation Administration, Washington D.C. The letter is dated July 26, 1948. Located on the central top is the heading which reads, "Trinity Episcopal Church Rev. Edmund G. Gibson, Rector Galveston, Texas." The letter reads, "Dear Sirs; This will serve as a Character recommendation for Mrs. Marie Economidy. I have known her for several years past and an happy to be able to state that she is a woman of high integrity, dependability and faithful to her trusts and responsibilities. She is an excellent American and has taken active part in many civic enterprizes Her loyalties to the American way of life, principles and heritage are above reproach. She should be a very good representative of the United States in any foreign country. Respectfully, (Signed in script) Rev. E. Gibson."  Near the bottom left corner is the underlined word copy.
