Object Description
A typed letter from the Galveston Art Club in Huston, Texas congratulating Mrs. Marie Economidy on her successful lecture. The letter is dated February 13, 1947 and is addressed to Mrs. Marie Economidy, located on 1817 Center Street Galveston, Texas. The letter reads, "Dear Mrs. Economidy; I think it was obvious to you, from the enthusiastic attitude of the members of the Galveston Art League, that your lecture of February 11 was a great success. Your capacity to convey the intangible aspect of the importance of Folk Art in the history of human culture is a rare gift. It is evident that you have spent a great deal of effort in mastering the details of your fascinating interest. Please let me thank you once more in the name of a group of sincere friends. Very cordially yours, ('Cw Pomerat' in scripted) Charles M. Pomerat, President Galveston Art  League." Located in the lower left corner are the words, "CMP/mmr."
