Object Description
A creamed-colored, long-sleeve-sheered dress, possibly a nightgown, with geometric embroidery along the sleeves, cuffs, neckline, and hem of the gown. The material is thin and see-through with a deep U-shaped neckline that is closed by two black and gold twisted ropes. At the shoulders, the material has been gathered into a puffed pattern with black and gold circular snitching. At the seams of the sleeves and waist are black and gold whip stitching. The sleeves are decorated in a T-shape patterned with geometric embroidery using gold, black, and blue thread. Along the neckline are golden squares embroidered with black thread outlining the squares and detailing the inside with smaller black squares. The golden squares along the neckline are also used to form a larger geometric pattern incorporating the same gold, black, and blue thread. At the hem of the dress are two T-shape matching embroidery with gold, black, and blue needlework that forms a geometric pattern.
