Object Description
A black and white photograph of two individualsĀ posing in a baseball stadium. The individual to the left is wearing a two piece suit, a button up suit jacket with matching skirt and heeled shoes. The figure to the left, an assumed baseball player of the Cubs, is seen wearing a baseball uniform with the cubs logo seen on the upper right portion of the jersey. The photograph has a decorative boarder of four cameras placed at the corners, with printing on the upper left corner as well as the lower right corner has the words "July 1943" and "Color Photo" printed in black ink. At the bottom are the words "Me and Phil" written in red pen.
Origin
The photograph is owned by the Powers family and connected to other photographs and physical items from the same collection. Photograph of Georgia (Powers) Kokinis (left) and Phil Cavaretta (right) of the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field, dated 1943.
