Object Description
A certificate presented by the Board of Education of the City of Chicago awarding George Powers, a member of the Public School Safety Patrol, for his meritorious service in a humanitarian movement to reduce injury and death to children. Certificate was printed on beige stationery with decorative black border. The content of certificate is printed in matching black ink and has the signature of the president, Superintendent of schools, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent of school listed at the bottom. The certificate is dated June, 1944.
