Beaded belt with the year 1916 and both the flags of the Hellenic Navy and Greece displayed. There are yellow, blue, and red colored birds and red flowers throughout.
The belt was purchased by the donor's mother on a trip to Greece in the 1950s. It is handmade and the year 1916 above the Hellenic Navy flag indicates the belt memorializes the November 1916 incident when the French military confiscated Greece's navy in order to pressure the Greek government to join the First World War on the side of the Triple Entente.
