Object Description
Woven wool rug (kilim) made in two sections and sewn together by hand. The rug has a geometric floral pattern, white stripes, and fringe. Made on a hand loom and most likely from Nafpaktos, Greece.
Origin
Donor's mother (Sophia) was living in Patras, Greece when she married Nicholas Mandis. She received this kilim as a gift when the couple was leaving to come to Chicago.
