Object Description
Cross stitched pillow cover on a beige fabric with light blue backing. The background color is in black yarn with stripe of blue background in the middle, taking up approximately 1/3 of the design. There are also light and dark blue thin lines, two on each side as well as one going around the edge as a border, dividing the design into nine squared. In each square, there are shapes that look like two hearts with the points touching, or a butterfly. Most of the hearts aren't the same color as the heart that it's attached to, except for the one on the left on the blue stripe, which is completely green. There are other designs that consist of multiple colors. The colors used in this cover are blue, yellow, green, red, orange, pink, white, and black.
Origin
Cross stitch is a form of counted thread embroidery. This required that the number of threads spanned in a stitch be counted so that it would come out evenly.
