Cross stitched design on a beige fabric. The threads of the embroidery appear to be made of a thicker material such as wool. The background color of the embroidery is black. There is a green checked border outlined in red around the left side and the bottom, with a yellow and green border around the right side and half of the top. In the middle, there is a design that may be flowers in brown, green, yellow, pink, red, purple, tan, and blue. There is brown at the base outlined in yellowm with colors above it. The backing of the pillow cover is light blue.

Cross stitch is a form of counted thread embroidery. This required that the number of threads spanned in a stitch be counted so that it would come out evenly.
