Object Description
Wool tagari that is red, green, yellow, beige, blue, orange, and purple. The stitching along the edges is red, while the strap is a maroon color. There is a band at the top that is mostly red and beighe, with narrow green and orange as well as yellow and purple stripes. Down the middle of the bag, there are three diamonds which are surrounded by another color, and so forth. The red of each diamond connects them, which is followed by yellow. At the next color, purple, the design represents zigzags more than diamonds, which continues to the edge. The maroon strap has many ties on one side, which may make it adjustable.
Origin
This bag was labelled as 2002.7.3, which is described as a "mulitcolored handwoven tote bag (tagari) (with adjustable handle - unique) and "Geometric design of diamonds and zig zag lines." The dimensions also match up. However, there was another bag catalogued as 2002.7.3.
