Object Description
The left side of the painting says "To: Tony. Hope you get well. I miss you!! and we all Love You. Shirley May 2, 1976. The actual painting has a woman standing at a counter with a man in the bottom left corner. She is wearing a green blouse with a blue skirt. The man is wearing a brown jacket with a yellow shirt. On the side of the counter by the woman's legs, it reads "You not only get a candle here byt a kiss from me too!" On the counter, there is an orange sigh that reads "Give us all you've got!" above the man's head, there is a blue sign that reads "Annunciation Cathedral Come As You Like" beside which as an orange sign that says "Lincoln Park Zoo Keep Out." Next to this, there is a grey wall that a man in brown pants and a yellow shirt is on tending to plants. Below him is a sign that reads "Thos kiss are becoming more expensive every day". Below this is a golden stand with white candles burning with orange flames. The artist's signature is located betwen the legs of the stand. There is money falling off of the counter with the man and the woman, along with money behind the orange sign.
Origin
This was found with pictured F2016.228-233. The paint on the drawing appears to be water colors. It appwears to have been filled in with water colors.

Annunciation Cathedral is a Greek Orthodox Church.

Shirley Kontos was an artist who did iconography for many local churches.
