Green sign with white writing. At the top, it reads "Dedicated to the Hellenic Museum & Cultural Center of Chicago on the occasion of the 10th anniversary June 2002." Below this, there is a picture of Abraham Lincoln in green and white and outlined like a ticket. At the top of the outline it reads "16th President of U.S.A. 1809-1865." Below Lincoln, it says, "North Lincoln Ave." There is a white band at the bottom, with the seal of Chicago in the left corner and the Tofos logo in the right. The middle reads "'TOFOS' Puts a face on history. Street name signs which honor direct and educate. Too many important persons have become forgotten. 'TOFOS' signs will illuminate our way and reconnect images and deeds with their names."
This honorary street sign was made by Tofos, a Greek company. which apparently creates mock street signs in honor of historical figures. The company is owned by Marcos A. Arvanitis, who donated this sign to the museum in honor of the museum's 10th anniversary in 2002.
