Object Description
Diploma from The University of Chicago for Themistocles J. Anagnostopoulos. The writing is in black and there are four signatures on the bottom: President of the Board of Trustees, Registrar of the University, Persident of the University, and Dean of the College. There is also a seal on the bottom. The diploma is attached to a piece of cardboard.
Origin
Themis Anagnost was married to Catherine Cook, a fellow attorney. They worked at their own firm, called Anagnost and Anagnost. Themis died at the age of 89. He was born in Stadion, Arcadia, Greece in 1913 and came to the US in 1931. He attended the University of Chicago.

The diploma reads:
The University of Chicago
This is to Certify that Themistocles J. Anagnostopoulos (Them Anes) has satisfactorily completed the requirements of the college and on recommendation of the faculty of the college and by virtue of the authority vested in them the trustees of the university have conferred on him the title of Associate in Arts.
Given this eleventh day of June nineteen hundred and thrity-five."
