Object Description
This is a certificate written in Greek. At the top there is a symbol that consists of a bird in the middle of a cross with sides of equal length that flair out and have semicircles on the end. The bird has its wings stretched upward. In between the wings and above the head, there is a star. Above the cross, there is a crown with a circle on the top. Through the circle, ther is a ribbon. The certificate is on white paper with black writing and golden letters for filling in the blanks. the bottom is signed. The paper has a seal in the bottom left corner which has three people standing around a square with a crown on top. The paper is torn in the bottom right corner, creased in the middle, has a green spot above the signature, and has two holes in the top left corner. It is matted with a black border, but the mat is beige and yellowing around the edges. The back is blue.
Origin
The seal and lettering are the same as item 2013.2.25, except for name changes and a few other changes to the main document. That document was an Order of the Gold Cross of Phoenix of Greece, which was presented by King Paul of Greece.
