Object Description
Small female doll wearing a pink plaited dress with a yellow underdress that shows through at the bottom, as well as at the top. The pink dress is sleeveless and openat the top, while the yellow one has sleeves and is closed. She is wearing a pale purple apron with golden fringes, an orange and blue border, and a golden border inside of that. The mink dress has a golden border outlined in blue on each arm hole, a pink and golden border around the middle opening, and a peach and gold border followed by a blue, pink, and yellow border followed by a lace border at the bottom. The yellow dress has a red and blue border followed by a lace border at the bottom, and a red, green, gold border followed by a blue and peach border on the sleeves, with a yellow edge. She has brown hair and blue eyes. There is a pink and yellow bodere around her neck, which is attached to her body by a spring. There are two coind on her bosom, each with a bead. She has black plastic shoes, and a stiff gridlike skirt under her dress. On the bottom of her left shoe, there is a sticker that says "25" in green ink. She has two brown beads as earrings.
Origin
The use of dolls has been documented in Greece around 100 AD. Modern doll manufactures has roots in Germany. Traditional dolls may have spiritual, magical, or ritual power.
