Object Description
Small greeting card or booklet bound with blue cord which is tied in a knot at the bottom.  On the front, in the upper left-hand corner, there is what looks like a water-color depiction of a Mediterranean island shoreline surrounded by light blue water.  Near the shore, there is a small white house with a red tile roof.  A cluster of green trees, then orange and brown hills rise up behind the little house.  Off to the right and in the distance, blue skies, white fluffy clouds and purple mountains create a misty background.  Large gray stones line up by the water's edge creating a stony border between sea and land.

In the foreground, a woman in a brown skirt is featured.  She is depicted standing on the right side of the card and holding two spindles with what looks like white spun wool on them.  Her right arm is raised as she balances one of the spindles on her right shoulder.  Her left arm is hanging down, a little away from her body, and holds the other spindle of wool.

On her head, she is wearing a bright red headscarf, held in place with a gold hair comb.  Her curly black hair is visible close to her face in front of the red scarf.  She's wearing a white blouse with long sleeves topped with a brown sleeveless bolero-styled vest which is embellished with yellow embroidery.  Her long brown skirt has two blue and yellow stripes running on the diagonal from the back down to the front.  The skirt itself falls almost to the ankle and is topped with a brightly colored apron.  The apron is a bright emerald green with a wide band of brightly colored stripes at the bottom; blue, red, brown, yellow and then blue again.   A golden belt with a small bow in the front defines the transition from the blouse to the skirt.  A white tightly ruffled or eyelet petticoat subtly peaks out from beneath the skirt and brings the eye to the pair of tan shoes with upturned toes she is wearing.  The tips of her shoes are painted black.

The signature of the artist is written in blue ink in the bottom-left corner.
Origin
The woman on the front of the card is in traditional greek dress, and she appears to be doing something with wool.
