Object Description
Rectangular cream-colored napkin with flower cutwork in the corners. In each corner, there is one big flower, surrounded by three groups of leaves, each consisting of two leaves. In one corner, the fabric beneath the bottommost group of leaves wasn't cut out, as it was in the other corners. There is a hole in the middle of each of the flowers, and a vine winds around the outside of the entire napkin, connecting the flowers like a border. The thread is cream-colored.
Origin
The cutwork technique originated during the Italian Rennaissance during the 14th, 15th, and 16th century.
