White candy scale made by the Toledo Scale Company in the early 1900s. There is a range of prices to be measured by the scale on its face, next to the four pronged place meant to hold the scale's bowl. The measurements go up in one cent graduations (listed in white) and two cent graduations (listed in yellow). The arm that displays the weight is yellow and labelled from 10 to 100 in intervals of ten. This side has four screws, while the other has two, and there is one on top. On the opposite side, there is a face that displays the weight of the candy, underneath which it says "Toledo." Under the "Toledo is a green and white sticker labelled "Consumer Protection Division Weights and Measurement Seal." On the side, there is a plain metal panel attached. The bottom has a white level encased in metal. Underneath the basin, by the four prongs, is a metal plate that says "Toledo Scale Company" and lists the style (405CA) and the number (554679). The bowl isn't attached to the scale, and will be listed separately.

Allen Divibiss. Jr. invented self-calculating scales, and was from Toledo, Ohio. Toledo Scale Company used scales that didn't have springs in them, and advertised that they provided the honest weight of goods, therefore eliminating the possibility of the seller cheating the buyer.
