Object Description
Female doll wearing traditional Greek outfit. On her head she is wearing a large black and pink striped hat and a large piece of lace veils over the hat. She has black hair and a painted face with pink lips. Her clothes are layered: a white underdress, and on top is a long purple dress with gold trim along the breast, waist, and wrists. There are small yellow glass beads on her chest. Her apron is also a white lace with four bows (two white, two pink) and two horizontal ribbons (one white, one pink). Her shoes are black leather.
Origin
Made by "Marika" Exhibit (2/99) entitled "Marika's Koukles". This doll was given to Jean Kostopoulos Weeks by the family in appreciation of highlighting Marika's life.
