Object Description
A khaki long-sleeved, button down, cotton shirt. It has a collar, 7 buttons down the front, and a button to fasten each sleeve. There is a breast pocket that buttons shut on both sides. The left sleeve has two patches and the right sleeve has one patch. Inside the collar is a brown cloth tag that says, Regulation Army Officer's shirt.
Origin
This was George Doundoulakis's army uniform from his time serving during World War II. The blue and white patch on each sleeve indiates a rank of First Sergeant. The star patch on the left sleeve indicates Forces of Africa and the Middle East.
