The case is worn on the outside with fading and scratches. Two straps at the top enclose the brush with silver-colored snap buttons. Above these buttons is "GENUINE SHEEP". When opened, there is sheep wool sewn to half of the interior. Part of the wool is slightly grey/black. There is a slot to place the brush. There is cut-off white lettering inside this slot. It appears as if there is at least an "S" but the other letters are unrecognizable.

There is a printed, oval-shaped label on the bottom edge of the case. It says "KIPPY KIT CO. / BRUSH PAT AUG 14 1928 / CASE PAT JULY 1921 / DEC 29 1925 / CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO".
Origin
Made in Circleville, Ohio some time around the 1920s by the Kippy Kit Company. Used as a polish brush to clean shoes and remove lint. It is unknown how the object came to the museum.
