Object Description
Bronze circular medal with a blue and white striped ribbon attached at a metal ring at the top. On one side there is a border of raised dots. It says, "National Resistance 1941-1945" in Greek, followed by a decorative flourish. On the other side is a figure of a man in traditional Greek garb holding a gun and wearing bandoliers. He plants the greek flag in the ground.
Origin
This medal was presented to Helias Doundoulakis by the Greek government for his role in the National Resistance.
