Object Description
Hand written letter between father and son. The letter is broken up into sixteen different pages. Each piece of paper is folded in half and there is writing on each of the sides. Each page is also numbered in the center of the top of the side and at the bottom of each page is the "#" symbol. The letter is written in blue ink, however there is one page that seems to be separate from the full letter itself, is slightly larger and written with black ink. All is written in Greek.
Origin
The letter was written by Christodolos Stathis to his father, Rev. Gregory Economou. It describes the battle between the militia of the village of Vrangiana, in the Agrafa region, against Aris Velouhiotis, the "Capitanos" of the EAM-ELAS Greek resistance army. Aris died at this June, 1945 battle.
