Object Description
Small female doll with long black hair, braided into pigtails and wearing a fez with yellow tassel. The top of her outfit id in s cream color with an orange and green geometric trim around the neckline and lace around the sleeve. She has a navy blue belt in a swirled pattern. Her skirt is a gold coloring with tassels sawned on about an inch above the hem line. The hem is decorated with a strip of pink, green, yellow, and gold strips. Her arms are made of plastic from the elbow down but are wire above that. Her legs and body are made of a hollow plastic and face made of a plaster or thin felt. She is placed on a plastic, clear, heart shaped stand with the Knickerbocker Dolls logo on it.
Origin
Handmade, possibly in Greece by the Knickerbocker Dolls company. Knickerbocker is probably best known for their Walt Disney character dolls, Raggedy Ann or Andy and the cloth Holly Hobbie dolls, but have done a variety of other creations and have multiple artists working in different parts of the world, a few located in Greece. In 1983 the company was sold to Hasbro.
