Object Description
A letter from the Consulate General of Greece, in Chicago, dated 1904.The letter is fully typed in Greek and roughly translates that Teorgois K Dailas lived in Versovas for five years after his parents had been residents of Tripoli for twenty years. The paper that this is printed on is yellowed with age but the blue ink that was typed with is still clear and the signature on the bottom is as well. It has a stamp next to the signature that is of the consulate general Greece in Chicago around the Royal Greek seal of a crest with a cross in the center topped by a crown. Along the left side of the paper, there is a row of four green cancelled stamps, all worth 2 drachmas. There is a handwritten note in Greek underneath the stamps.
