Object Description
A white collared jacket with a logo on the left front side. The jacket has a white zipper on the front that exteneds from the top to the very bottom. Attached to the zipper is a black tag with "USA" woven in white. The logo on the front says "Team USA" woven in navy blue thread. The United States flag is woven next to the text. The jacket size is medium.
Origin
The US Olympic Committee track jacket was donated by Petros Spanakos. The jacket was worn in the 2004 Athens Olympics. Petros Spanakos is a Greek American and participated in the Olympic boxing games in Rome in 1960. He lost out, however his twin brother, Nick Spanakos, went further in the games, earning a participation medal in 1960. Both brothers are champion boxers, having earned 48 titles between the two of them.
