Object Description
The certificate of naturalization comes in a worn white envelope. The flap to seal the envelope has been removed leaving the slot open. The front of the envelope contains Greek writting written in blue ink. Inside, there is a photgraph of the certificate holder taped to upper left hand side. The back of the certificate contains a name change verification with a signature.
Origin
The naturalization paper is for the donor's great-grandmother. During the time this certificate was issued, the Alien Registration Act of 1940 was in effect, requiring all non-US citizens to fill out the Alien Registration Form.
