Object Description
A Greek passport used to travel in the 1930's. The exterior is blue with gold lettering in Greek on the front as well as a large white cross. A large oval shape is also on the front at the bottom with Greek handwritting scrawled inside. On the reverse side there is a customs sticker at the top. The inside contains Greek handwritting on several pages. The passport is printed in Greek and French and the passport holders signature is in blue. A black and white photograph of the passport holder is stapled on the second page. There are several visa stamps through page nine, leaving the remainder of the passport with empy pages. On the front inside cover there is a physical stamp as well as an ink stamp along with a small stain that carried over to page 1. A small piece of tape is placed on page 1.
Origin
The passport is for the donor's great grandmother, Panagiota. This Greek passport was issued in 1932 under the Second Hellenic Republic.
