Object Description
This icon seems to be painted/printed on cardboard. The scene shows the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The cross is placed at the center of the icon, and takes up a majority of the space in the icon. Jesus is placed on a wooden cross that has a paper nailed to the top of it reading, "Jesus Nazarenus Rex Judaorum", translating roughly to, "Jesus of the Nazarene, King of the Jews". Jesus hangs by nails at his wrists and feet, to the cross as he wears the crown of thorns around his head, and is draped around his waist in white fabric. In the background, there is a city off to the left, and nature (flowers) to the right. The sky looks dark and ominous. No one is shown behind or around Christ.

At the very bottom, lefthand corner of the icon, it says, "No. 6 Crucifixion" in small, black lettering.
Origin
The verse John 19:20, states that the saying "Jesus Nazarenus Rex Judaorum" or "Jesus of the Nazarene, King of the Jews" was written in 3 languages, Hebrew, Latin, and Greek, during the crucifixion of Jesus.
