Pedro "Pete" Llanuza was a sports cartoonist for the New York World Telegram. He drew the 'Jack Ofalltrades' strip in 1913. He took over the 'Joe Jinks' comic strip from its creator Vic Forsythe in 1931, and continued it until 1936. He also did art for the 'Knight and Daye' comic book.

Born in San Francisco, CA on Oct. 29, 1882. By 1913 Llanuza was an employee of the San Francisco Chronicle and active in his native city until 1932.
