Dr. Peter T. Kapsalis, the youngest son of the Patriarch Tryfon Kapsalis, volunteered for World War I at the age of 18, following his older brother Harry's draft into the Army and saw active duty in France. He was awarded a PhD in Archaeology, Greek and Latin from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He worked as an Assistant Professor of Greek and Latin at Loyola University Chicago from 1947 to 1953. He passed away in 1965.
