This is a box of Fairbank's Gold Dust Washing Powder. The box is bright orange and is encased in a plastic covering. The front of the box has two black figures, "the twins" under the Fairbank's logo, standing in a pile, of what appears to be, coins. On the right side panel, images of the same black figures are used to show the different purposes of the washing poweder like, brightening linoleum, removes bath tub ring, washed dirty work clothes and makes glassware sparkle. On the left side panel, "washes dishes quickly, removes grease easily, brightens woodwork and cleans paint brushes" is shown. The back of the box has "Gold Dust let the twins do your work" written in black, bold type across the back. Below this is a box that describes how to use Gold Dust to perform up to 34 cleaning jobs, with more images and illustrations of the twins in the background.

A small, off-white flat box with yellow and blue accents, with a 1 fluid pint capacity. The top of the box says, "Ice Cream" in blue on a yellow background, right above an illustration of a man in a horsedrawn carraige. The sides of the box have small white illustrations of couples engaged in dancing and dog walking. One side indicates the manufacturer, Chicago Carton Company. It reads "Pint U. S. Standard No. L-2 Chicago Carton Company, Chicago, Illinois, Pat. No. 1992222. Design No. 78 LP. Copyright 1945." Each side flap reads "Parafined Carton, To keep fine flavor and quality."

A middle-sized candy box that has "Merry Christmas" written across it's front. It's front is mostly gold and red, has wreaths, candles and an image of the North Star and is on the whole has a very vintage seasonal feel.

This is a stack of 25 small, half pint cardboard ice cream containers. The fronts and backs of the containers are identical and off-white in color. The background is a blue, grid pattern with a large white triangle in the middle. "Ice Cream" in large blue letters is printed on the triangle, with "one half pint" printed below it. There are three small, decorative stars running along the bottom of the container, on all four sides. The top portion of the container is comprised of four flaps, when folded, seal the container. On one of the flaps is a small triangle with printed information about the container itself printed inside. It states "1/2 Pint liquid Minn. Serial No. 24, Fill to top." There is a woven, string handle attached at two sides.

The two sides have the same decorative design, without the text. The top of the containers have four flaps, when folded, that seal the box. There is text indicating patent number and volume of the container on the front and back flaps. The front reads "Contents one half pint, U.S. liquid measure, Approved for Massachusetts M-6" While the back reads: "N.Y. City approved type 109, Serial V-4, Penna. Approved Type No. V-4" The bottom of the lowest crate has a white sticker that says "Pauline Franks" There is a woven string handle attached to the sides of the container.

This is a 3D display piece of a boy riding in a horse drawn cart. The boy appears to be young and is wearing a green hat and yellow shirt. The cart is on two large wheels drawn by a large, running horse. There are flaps in the middle of the cart that can be folded down to hold it in a 3D position. On the back of the cart, in very small print, is printed "Game Makers. Inc. NY, USA."

Piece, Display (2011.7.237)

This is a 3D display piece of an elderly riding in a mule drawn cart. The man is wearing a yellow hat, white collared shirt with overalls and appears to be holding a large pink object. The cart is drawn by a running mule and is on one large red wheel, with one wheel missing. The mule has ared harness. There are two flaps on the inside that fold down to hold the cart in place. On the back of the cart is printed, in very small print, "Game Makers. Inc. NY, USA."

Box, Candy (2011.7.25)

A medium Christmas chocolates holder, this item is split from its bottom left corner to the top right corner by a wreath of mistletoe. In the center of the box is also an image of four bells and "Holiday Greetings" in gold font. Finally, in the top left corner there is an image of the North Star. The box also contains some wax paper.

Book, Account (2011.7.262)

This is a book of check receipts from 1919/1920. The book is bound in a thick black cardboard material, with a red/brown binding. Almost every page is written on. Checks of particular interest: Check #200 was a check sent to the donor's father while he was away in Greece during WWI. It was writtten to Constan. J. Rassogianis on Sept. 29, 1919 for $15.00. Check #238 was a check sent to John's wife in Greece before she came to America. It was written to Paleteme Rassogianis on November 18, 1919 for $25.00. Check #255 was written on November 18, 1919 to a "F. Kvasnika," who may have been the owner of the St. Louis store property for the amount of $70.00.

On each short end of the box, there are marks on either side where the paper had to be cut to be folded.

A red candy box from the candy store. Adorned with diagonal dark striping and a green bow with fake gold mistletoe on the top. The box is Christmas themed and shows little wear. The only evident damage is a stain on part of the bow. The box also contains some of the original wax paper and sheeting. The bottom of the box is silver colored. The box was used to store and sell candy from Alex's Candy Shop.
