Oval-shaped, ceramic dish with decorative border along rim with a decorative seal. An "O.P.Co. Syracuse China" stamp on the bottom of the dish. The decorative bordder appears to be in black and looks like connected T's. The seal appears to be an R with a ribbon below it, with the words "Hotel Rome Omaha".

Bowl (2011.7.167)

This medium sized, white ceramic bowl is plain white except for three green lines on the outer side of the bowl. Two of them are directly beneath the lip of the bowl and wrap around the entire thing. The top line is thicker than the lower one, the lower one being about the width of a line drawn by a pen or pencil. The third line is lower on the bowl, at the point where it curves toward the base. This decoration is the same width as the lower one in the upper grouping. The entire bowl is completely smooth and has a glass like sheen which makes it shiny. On the lip of the very bottom it is darker and more worn due to use. On the very base of the bowl is printed the company's name who makes it. Inside of a ribbon design is the word "Sterling" and below the ribbon says "Vitrified China" in a cursive font. Direcltly below those words is the location of "East Liverpool, Ohio U.S.A" in a standard font. The interior of the bowl is a plain white, but has a few stains on it from age and storage. Most of the stains are on the top lip. The biggest is in a circular shape and seems like it is in the ceramic itself. It also might just be discoloration in the ceramic because it is a natural material.

Directly inside of that is a thinner green line, about the width of a pen line. The third line is around the very inside of the bowl, it is also a pen line width. There are marks of wear along the edges of the dish from age and use. There are also several littler marks along on the inside of the plate at random intervals. The plate iteslf is a glossy white color everywhere that the green is not. The back of the plate is completely plain except for the makers mark on the flat part of the base. It reads "Jackson Company" curving downward. Below that, strait across it says "Edward Don and Company Chicago, Illinois Distributors." There is a litte green spot above the words that is probably from the machine dripping ink. There are orange stains on the back that also have a rougher texture because they have worn away the finish. They are larger than the ones on the front but are fewer in number. They are evenly spaced around the plate and probably came from whatever it was sitting on.

Dish (2011.7.171)

The top of this small white ceramic dish has a very simple design. There are two green lines. The thickest runs along the plate closest to the outer edge. The second line is around the very inside of the bowl, it is the width of a pen line. There are marks of wear along the edges of the dish from age and use. There are also several littler marks along on the inside of the plate at random intervals. There is a large chip along the edge of the plate. It is not just color that is missing but part of the plate itself. It is rectangular but follows the curve of the plate. There is dirt in the crevices and it has a rough texture. The plate iteslf is a glossy white color everywhere that the green is not. The back of the plate is completely plain except for the makers mark on the flat part of the base. It reads "The Bailey-Walker Vitrified China" inside of a little book and below the book it says 5-29, all in a light green ink that has faded over time. There is a litte green spot below the words that is probably from the machine dripping ink. There are orange stains on the back that also have a rougher texture because they have worn away the finish. They are larger than the ones on the front but are fewer in number. They appear at even intervals around the plate and were probably made by whatever was holding it in the Ice Cream Shop.

This white plate is smaller and circular. It is completely plain with no design except for the maker's notation on the back. This reads " Cook China Co. Trenton, N.J." and is merely an indentation in the center of the plate on the backside, and there is no color in the lines. The finish is a shiny white. Due to age and storage there are discolorations and wear on the plates. The top part of the outer rim on this one has less finish and therefore is not as smooth as other parts of the item. It is a little darker in color and is a little textured in certain parts. There are other discolorations closer to the center of this plate and are circular in nature. they are a very faint tan color. The bottom also shows some wear. There are raised portions at various places on the lip that curves up. They are small but are noticable. On the very outside of the underside there is a textured spot that is orange in color and has a more grainy feel as opposed to the existing finish of the plate. The supporting rim also has dicoloration and texture due to use wearing away the finish.

This white plate is smaller and circular. It is completely plain with no design except for the maker's notation on the back. This reads " Cook China Co. Trenton, N.J." and is merely an indentation in the plate, there is no color in the lines. The finish is a shiny white. Due to age and storage there are discolorations and wear on the plates. The top part of the outer rim on this one has less finish and therefore is not as smooth as other parts of the item. There are also groupings of very small black dots in clusters at three spots around the edge. On the inner circle of the plate is a yellow/orange spot that has worn into the plate itself. It is a pitted texture and is smaller than the size of a dime. The bottom also shows some wear. The supporting rim of the base also has dicoloration and texture due to use wearing away the finish. On the lip that curves of there are various spots of discoloration and texture. These are all circular in nature and ranging in sizes.

This white plate is smaller and circular. It is completely plain with no design except for the maker's notation on the back. This reads " Cook China Co. Trenton, N.J." and is merely an indentation in the plate, there is no color in the lines. The finish is a shiny white. Due to age and storage there are discolorations and wear on the plates. t is a little darker in color and is a little textured in certain parts. There is a small brown dot where the flat part of the plate starts to curve up and it is slightly raised off of the surface. The bottom also shows some wear. The supporting rim on the base also has dicoloration and texture due to use wearing away the finish. There are three circular discolorations that are spaced evenly around the plate and are probably due to how they were stored. They indent into the ceramic a little, but are not very big.

Trenton, N.J." and is merely an indentation in the plate, there is no color in the lines. The finish is a shiny white. Due to age and storage there are discolorations and wear on the plates. The top part of the outer rim on this one has less finish and therefore is not as smooth as other parts of the item. It is a little darker in color and is a little textured in certain parts. There are little yellow areas in the center area of the plate, also due to age and use. The bottom also shows some wear. The supporting rim of the base also has dicoloration and texture due to use wearing away the finish. There are three circular discolorations that are spaced evenly around the plate and are probably due to how they were stored. They indent into the ceramic a little, but are not very big.

Cup, Coffee (2011.7.96)

A small, white coffee cup with a blue band at the rim. Additionally, there is a small image of a ship anchor on the side opposite of the handle. The anchor has a rope around it. The bottom of the cup says "103". There is also a streak of blue going down the small handle.
