Object Description
In this video interview, Michael Bilirakis describes growing up as a child of Greek immigrants, working as a young man in a steel mill, joining the military during the Korean War, and returning to the U.S. to study on the G.I. Bill. He discusses studying engineering at the University of Pittsburgh and transferring to the University of Florida to study law after meeting his wife. Bilirakis also speaks about his motivation for entering politics, his experiences as a congressman, and his involvement with Greek organizations.
