Biographical Note
The Antigone Lambros Collection contains pieces and works about the Greek radio show Hellenic Interludes reporting on and involvement in the Justice for Cyprus movement. The Justice for Cyprus movement was in response to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974. The collection contains photos from the Women’s March Home, Pro-Cyprus propaganda, and several magazines that are associated with the main figures of Cyprus such as the President Archbishop Makarios III. The Collection contains many letters between several Cyprus Presidents and US officials in the struggle to find a solution to the so-called Cyprus Problem of the 1970s and also contains works that deal with the legacy of the Turkish invasion moving into the 1970s.
Scope and Content Note
This collection contains articles, letters, official government documents, pictures, slides, and three books. It spans from 1976 to 2008. There are some letters that are written entirely in Greek and have not been translated beyond their titles.
Arrangement
They have been organized to the best ability of the archivist. This collection contains one box of 8 folders. The first folder is not in chronological order but instead consists of only the slides and pictures of the Women’s Walk Home from 1989. The second folder includes items such as tickets and press releases related to this protest. Folder Three’s contents can’t be chronologically placed and contains mostly political leaflets and pamphlets with no date. Folders 4-8 are in chronological order from 1974 to 2008.

The collection was donated to the National Hellenic Museum (then known as the Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center) in 2008. It was donated by Antigone Lambros.
